Welcome back Ange… ha ha Yes its been a while and I have been slack but Im back on track….
So you might or might not know, but I am doing Round 3 of Michelle Bridges 12WBT… I have 30kg to lose and I am going to do it… I am giving myself a year to do this – the healthy right way.
I had this idea that I needed to see my results my progress, my awesomeness unfolding so I brought two gorgeous vases, 30 (well 36 to be exact) bright orange ping pong balls, two beautiful hearts decorations, what this represents is the Old Ange vs New Ange, Currently all 30 balls are in one vase and as I continually lose weight I am going to move each ball representing 1kg over to the new Ange vase, to date I have lost 2.1kg so I am well on my way to Greatness ok more Greatness then I already am…
The past week has been good, there have been some ups and downs but when isn’t there when you are starting a healthy eating plan and trying to kick the bad habits to the kerb…
My first error was not planning well, ok well I did plan I just didn’t follow it. In saying that I was on Annual leave the first week so my routine was a little scu-wiff…
My Wins for the week are;
Ø No takeaway food was eaten.
Ø No Chips, both crisps and hot.
Ø I exercised, man did I!! I walked 20km with my beautiful friend Court. (more below)
Ø I took before photos of myself in a BIKINI – I didn’t even realise I owned a bikini.. Trust me I have NEVER worn it before.
Ø I change my look – my hair – I have always had dark long hair, I now have still long, but also Balayage and Love it plus it was curly and gorgeous…
Ø I got a DEXA scan done – that is my actual before photo… Its scary daunting and confronting.. It would seem that all my weight is in my torso and thighs… Legs look good and arms need work, but I will be doing a lot of cardio to remove the fat from my belly and thighs… So I can strut in my Bikini for REAL!!!
Ø I did up my plan and stuck it on the wall.
Ø I did up my Goals list – its SMART and I think Im going to nail it…
Ø Oh and most important I lost 2.1kg….. J
Ø I drank 3l water a day and felt great.
My Losses for the week:
Ø I doubted myself a couple of times.
Ø I got negative but found a positive out of it.
Ø I didn’t follow the plan I stuck on my wall…
Ø I cried watching people have babies and get married… I’m getting better J
Ø I compared myself to others, which got me down (but I got back up)….

My EPIC Walk with Court…
Court and I were meant to do Tough Mudder and due to injuries we weren’t able to do it.. So instead decided to do a 20km walk from St Lucia to KP stairs and then back again, this was Courts idea initially and I jumped on board, as I wanted to do something. I have been training for TM for 12 weeks with a great bunch of people from BRS and it has been hard work but so much fun, however I found out on the 8th week that I was unable to do it due to a knee injury sustained at Spartan Super 14 km race.
It was a great walk, Court took photos every 1km and we did a mini photo shoot every 5km milestone. We were super chatty the first 5km and feeling good and even by the 10th km but once the 15km came around, my knees were starting to hurt, my hip was hurting, but we kept laughing and taking photos. As we were getting closer to St Lucia - UQ I nearly got taken out by a cyclist as I was lingering on the wrong side (the pedastrian footpath changed so much, left or right, right to left.. haha I was confused.. haha....
I had many favourite parts of the walk but one I remember the most was having fun, Court and I walked for 4hours and we did it without too much whinging (ok I whinged, Court did not) we did it laughing, having fun and freaking out under the walkways – ok I freaked out.. ha ha.. We met a captain and got our photo taken with him, we met a lovely bunch of old ladies on a walk of the city and we did it….

This is my Tough Mudder team they did the Mudder in 2hours and 4 mins.. EPIC Awesome!!!
My Goals for the next 12 months
Ø Not weigh three digits
Ø Get under 85kg
Ø Reduce body fat from 45%
Ø Believe in myself – Self Discipline and Self-Motivation
Ø Enjoy good clean food – educate myself on food
Ø Enjoy Exercising – make it fun!
Ø Be Strong Minded and Positive
Ø Get the body you want
o Toned belly
o Toned Arms and Shoulders
o Great bum
o 25% body fat
o More lean mass / less fat mass
o Body Weight Goal – under 85kg (Target 100kg Stretch Target 85kg).
My goals for Week 2 are:
Ø Exercise more and have fun
Ø Follow the food plan
Ø Be good to myself
Ø Enjoy the experience,
Ø Drink 3l water a day.
